Responsibilities
As an SAT/ACT Tutor, you will:
- One-on-One Coaching
- Work closely with students to help them achieve their SAT and/or ACT goals through tailored, one-on-one tutoring sessions.
- Progress Analysis & Lesson Preparation
- Analyze student progress and prepare customized lessons based on individual needs and strengths for both SAT and ACT content.
- Training & DevelopmentComplete our comprehensive training programs to help you:
- Identify and address students’ unique strengths and weaknesses
- Build students’ curiosity and confidence in their abilities
- Guide students through academic struggles, reduce stress, and help them reach their potential
Requirements
Eligibility
- Ability to work at least 5 hours per week
- Passionate about education and helping students succeed
- Ability to teach all sections of both the SAT and ACT (Reading, Writing, Math, Science for ACT, Essay for SAT)
Experience
- At least 1 year of experience as an SAT or ACT Prep Teacher
- Proven success in coaching students to achieve high scores on both the SAT and ACT, including perfect scores
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (in progress or completed) from a nationally accredited university
Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to work independently while adhering to Cardinal Education’s pedagogical processes
- Relentless dedication to delivering results and helping students achieve their goals
- Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with a diverse group of people, including students, other tutors, and executives
Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate of $60 - $100 per hour, commensurate with experience
- Flexible hours: request between 3 to 30 hours per week depending on performance and client demand
