You will be working in a cross functional environment with our management team to meet daily production requirements and provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers.

Job Summary
The Forklift Operator is primarily responsible for ensuring the proficient and safe use of the forklift in lifting and moving glass throughout the facility, loading trucks, and prepping trucks to ship. You will be working in a cross functional environment with our management team to meet daily production requirements and provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers.
Essential Functions
- Follow all Safety Practices and Guidelines
- Follow Cardinal Values and Culture of Integrity and Respect
- Maintain a clean and safe environment at all times
- Operate High Tech Glass Fabrication Equipment
- Inspect product for quality to meet or exceed Cardinal and customer expectations
- Willingness to seek out additional roles and responsibilities within your department
- Ability to working a team environment
- Load and unload trailers
- Packing glass into wooden crates
- Picking and washing racks
- Inspect products to be moved for accuracy, and safely move them throughout facility
- Dumping rejected glass into recycle bins
- Effectively communicate with team members and answer all radio calls
- Other duties as assigned
- Flexibility - may be required to work overtime to meet customer deadlines
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills, and maintain attention to detail
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and potentially sharp objects
- Noise level can be high and will vary based on location in the plant
Prior Experience/Qualifications
- At least 2 years of forklift experience
- Solid Work History - Manufacturing or warehousing experience, preferred but not required
- Self-Motivated / Career-Minded / Punctual / Dependable
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
- Climbing/Reaching/Sit/Bend/Reach/Pull/Grip/Pinch
