CARDINAL CT is seeking a night shift Maintenance Technician with a solid background to troubleshoot, diagnose & repair mechanical equipment for our plant in Mount Airy, NC. Cardinal CT is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cardinal Glass Industries Inc., the industry leader in the development of residential glass for windows and doors. Cardinal has 49 locations nationwide, which produce float glass, coated glass, custom-tempered glass and insulated glass units. We focus on in-house innovation by leveraging the strengths of our core businesses and the ingenuity of our team members.
Job Description
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair controls, drives, electronic motor devices, sensors, pumps, ovens, industrial machinery, conduit systems, & emergency lighting systems.

Competitive Hourly Pay - $21 Monthly Profit Sharing
Annual salary range w/ Profit Sharing: $54,888 - $64,646 (does not include Overtime hours)

Job Description
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair controls, drives, electronic motor devices, sensors, pumps, ovens, industrial machinery, conduit systems, & emergency lighting systems.
Skills Needed
- Proficient in reading technical drawings, circuit and wiring diagrams, schematics and work instructions.
- Must possess a sense of urgency on troubleshooting and repairing equipment for minimal downtime.
- Possess excellent project/assignment completion record.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to carry through self-directed projects and continuous improvement efforts.
- Must have innate desire to work and perform safely.

- Three years Industrial Maintenance Experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Thorough Knowledge and Practice of LOTO.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs following a scheduled PM program and as needed to keep the plant operational.
- Troubleshoot; routinely inspect equipment and electro-pneumatic controls as necessary on automated equipment.
- Knowledge of gas burner systems is beneficial.
- Report to Maintenance Manager on equipment condition and status as necessary.
- Install all new equipment including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, and computer systems.
- Overtime Work, as necessary, including on other shifts as well as being on call during periods.
- Use hand tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing equipment to perform maintenance activities.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Reduce machine downtime; improve throughput and overall performance of machines.
- Maintain/build preventative maintenance schedules by thoroughly documenting all issues, repairs, parts used, recommendations, etc.
- Meets established expectations and takes responsibility for achieving results; encourages others to do the same.
- Reports to the Maintenance Manager.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Must be able to work form heights using ladders and aerial lift devices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout a work shift.
- Ability to stand/walk constantly throughout a work shift.
- Ability to squat, bend/twist at waist, knees and neck, frequently.
- Ability to use both hands simultaneously exerting push/pull force of up to 125 lbs. frequently.
- Frequent reaching/handling/grasping.
- Ability to climb; work in awkward and sometimes cramped positions
- Ability to use hand and power tools in shop area.
