Cardinal IG in Spring Green, WI is currently hiring for a Quality Control Technician
(10pm to 6am, Sunday-Thursday) with flexibility to cover 2nd or 3rd shifts. Potential Friday overtime
About Us
Cardinal Glass Industries was established in 1962 as a fabricator of sealed insulating glass units in St. Louis Park, MN. Throughout the years, the company has grown and consists of a Mineral facility, Float Glass facilities, Tempered Glass facilities, Coated Glass facilities, Insulating Glass facilities, and Laminated Glass facilities. These facilities are located throughout the United States.
Cardinal’s premier product is the Insulating Glass Unit which consists of two or three coated Lo E Lites of glass that are assembled into an insulating unit. The oxygen between the lites is replaced with Argon. The units are framed with aluminum or stainless steel and then doubled sealed.
Cardinal is the largest producer of insulating glass units in the world!
Job Objectives: This position represents Cardinal IG from a QA standpoint and requires an individual who is self- directed, patient, detail-oriented, and has moderate computer skills. Good personal skills including positive, constructive, and effective communication are a must. The core focus of the Quality Facilitator is to foster a strong relationship with our production customer to drive a quality improvement culture.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Completion of routine product and process audits in support of the Cardinal IG quality control plan
- Root cause analysis of quality and/or production problems
- Basic statistical analysis
- Specification interpretation
- Coordination with other Quality Facilitators, production personnel, and production supervisors on quality related concerns
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Working hours follow the production shifts with exceptions for training purposes or necessary adjustments to be determined in cooperation with the Quality/CI Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
