We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Shift Lead in the Production Department at our plastics container company. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding and proficiency in all functions of a line operator role, with a focus on overseeing and performing quality control for our products.
Position: Shift Lead - Production Department 3rd Shift (11pm-7am Monday through Friday) Saturday and Sunday night off
Location: Tempe, AZ
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of production line operators, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of the production line.
- Train and mentor line operators on best practices for production processes and quality control measures.
- Monitor and maintain product quality throughout the production process, conducting regular quality checks and addressing any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the production manager to implement and optimize production schedules and targets.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in production or quality control is a plus.
- Proven manufacturing experience in a production environment, with a thorough understanding of line operator functions.
- Minimum of one year of supervisory experience, demonstrating effective leadership skills and team management.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to conduct accurate quality control checks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead a team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production requirements.
