Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Cloud Engineering analyzes the financial, operational, and technical feasibility of adopting external cloud based IT software, platform and infrastructure services. This job family evaluates the costs and benefits of cloud, virtual private networks, dedicated housing, and in-house solutions and identifies portions of the organization’s IT infrastructure with the highest potential return for cloud deployment. Cloud Engineering also manages the implementation of cloud services and their integration with in-house applications and systems, coordinating with vendors and adhering to engineering best practices.
As an industry leader in enterprise cloud adoption, Cardinal Health is seeking a technology engineer to support and develop our maturing cloud infrastructure operating in IaaS and CaaS models. Our multi-cloud, multitenant environment is leveraged to run mission critical workloads at enterprise scale and is currently used by thousands of developers across hundreds of teams.
As a Cloud Engineer at Cardinal Health, your primary responsibility will be to design, deploy, and maintain containerized applications on the Tanzu and the GKE (Google Kubernetes Service) platform. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure that applications and systems are scalable, reliable, and secure.

Responsibilities
Knowledgeable Tanzu and Google Cloud Platform with primary focus on Kubernetes and container-based platform administration
Ensure a secure and reliable set of services for our customers
Maintenance and support of automation code (using Terraform, and / or Python)
Focus on Platform Governance & Security, automating operational tasks wherever possible
Responding to customer platform questions and assistance
Coordination of priority calls and escalations
Adhering to change management processes
Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions
Lead or support infrastructure and application changes
Deploy virtual infrastructure within Tanzu and Google Kubernetes
Manage container services in a production environment
Detail oriented and passionate about cloud technologies
Experience building / troubleshooting containers
Experience deploying kubernetes resources, writing Kubernetes manifests and helm charts
Familiarity with Kubctl CLI
Knowledgeable with Kubernetes with building, managing, and supporting an enterprise level Kubernetes environment
Acts as a technology professional for Google Cloud Platform and familiar with many concepts including security and compliance, compute, network, storage, data, monitoring, automation, Cloud Build, Python, and CLI
Comfortable using agile methodologies and managing work via Jira / Service Now
Possess the ability to perform under pressure, effectively handling issues, and identifying the right timing and processes for escalation
Experienced DevSecOps who is comfortable with IaC tooling including bash, Git, and Terraform
Approaches design and problem solving with a security first mindset
Preferred experience including : Cloud Computing, Google, Kubernetes, AWS, cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, Python, Concourse, Jenkins, Jira, Shell Scripting, Git, Terraform, CI / CD, Agile
Qualifications
4-8 years of experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred , or equivalent work experience, preferred
Anticipated salary range : $ 121,600.00 - $ 173,700.00
