What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Engineer, Application Development and Maintenance position at Cardinal Health?
This position will be responsible for assuming the development duties of a J2EE based application with a significant number of integration points into a variety of backend systems. The right candidate will be a technical developer for applications that rely heavily on Java.
- Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal team and technical lead on implementation of design.
- Work effectively within large, matrixed project teams.
- Collaborate with internal peers
- Follow Cardinal Healths software development lifecycle
- Lead small to mid-sized technical initiatives and provide technical direction and input
- Act as technical mentor on team to provide skill uplift to junior and mid-level team members
- Utilizes development skills to build (code) and unit test new systems functionality per technical specifications, with deliverables to include code builds and documented unit test results.
- Possess strong problem solving and communication skills. Must be able to articulate an issue, accurately identify solution options and communicate the best course of action to the internal stakeholders.
- Enforcing sound development practices and ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions
- Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully
- Qualifications_
- 5-8 years of experience, preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- Background in developing applications in J2EE, Micro Service / Rest Service / Web Flux, JPA, SOAP UI / Postman, Angular, Springboot, GIT or equivalent Version Management Tool
- Strong experience in SQL
- Other Preferred experience witn Apigee, Kafka, Google Pub-Sub, Pcf / Tanzu, PostGREs SQL, Google Cloud Platform, Concourse Pipeline,
- Experience in an Agile environment
- Anticipated salary range :
- 93,500 - $133,600
