What Quality Assurance contributes to Cardinal Health
Quality develops and implements quality policies, procedures, and processes to ensure products and services comply with regulatory standards and specifications.
Quality Assurance develops and implements a compliant and cost-effective quality system that assures products and services are reliable, safe and effective. This job provides oversight of pharmacy dispensing activities, training to operational and quality control personnel, educates business leaders on quality policies and procedures and ensures that all products and services are properly reviewed for quality and documented.
Job Summary
The Senior Technician, Quality Assurance is responsible for adherence to policies and procedures. This job supports non-conformance investigations to support production and the facility, and the development of proposed changes to further enhance existing policies and procedures. The Senior Technician, Quality Assurance job requires knowledge of all operational departments. This job oversees and provides guidance to peers as needed to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Responsibilities
Examines process and procedures to reduce errors and maximize efficiency.
Provides oversight to the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes, and procedures that ensure compliance with policies and that performance and quality of services conform to established standards and agency guidelines.
Identifies non-compliance, investigates the root cause of issues, and works to develop/processes to prevent future compliance issues.
Supports pharmacy operations and provides technical quality insights to modify processes as needed.
Maintains and ensures compliance with procedures and metrics that impact quality throughout the organization.
Assists in the pharmacy queue when need arises.
Assists in pharmacy testing.
Monitors calls and provides case audits on site.
Back-up for other program supervisors when needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED or technical certification in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Texas preferred.
6 years of experience preferred.
Quality Assurance experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organization skills.
Ability to work ON SITE in Lewisville, TX as needed.

Anticipated hourly range: $21.50 per hour - $30.69 per hour.
