At CMCS (Cardinal McCloskey Community Services), our mission is to protect, empower and promote independence for at-risk children and families and those with developmental disabilities through quality community based services.
As a Social Work Supervisor , for the Enhanced Family Foster Care Planner. You will play an important role in the lives of the people we support. You will oversee a unit of case planners providing services and overseeing service delivery to families in the NYC foster care system. Assumes a teaching role as to the purpose, structure, and function of the Agency, together with on-going and new methods of sound Social Work practices. Involves a readiness to listen and an ability to apply the benefits of prior experience to new situations. Strives to encourage all supervisees to develop a sense of awareness of their own responsibility to share in decision-making and case progression. Monitors and ensure that permanency goal has been established for each and every child and to monitor progress in the achievement of that goal. Participates in Service Plan Reviews, Treatment Team Meetings, and Family Team Conferences
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Human Services and experience in child welfare system.
- Supervisory and managerial experience.
