Cardinal Point Captains, Inc. (CPC) is seeking an experienced and well-qualified full-time Systems Engineer I to provide engineering support to the Standoff Target Reacquire Identification Detection and Navigation Tool (STRIDENT) program located in Panama City, Florida.
Responsible for effective provisioning, operation, installation/configuration and maintenance of systems hardware/software/related infrastructure. Provide technical support, guidance and hands-on delivery in the planning, implementation and ongoing operation of databases. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and regulatory requirements. Documents specifications, project plans, configurations, test plans and results. Depicts complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences; communicates project objectives, scope and status to project teams.
Tasks
· Generate risk assessments
· Establish and maintain a SSP
· Ensure maintenance and development activities are in line with cybersecurity requirements
· Perform security and vulnerability assessments
· Provide classroom and in-water training sessions to Government personnel.
· Provide skills/knowledge checks to ascertain the ability of the user to perform tasks as needed.
· Provide input to monthly reporting and deliverables
· Responsible for providing guided scuba diving experiences and swim-along training sessions for customers, necessitating a high degree of swimming proficiency and scuba diving experience (desired).
· Other duties as assigned by program manager and/or technical instruction and contract requirements
Requirements
· Four (4) years of overall professional experience in the engineering field
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Technical Degree
· CompTIA Security Certification
· Requires an active Secret security clearance
· PADI certification desire
· Experience in computer programming and coding also highly desirable
