What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counselor - LCDCII LCDCIII position at Cardinal Recovery, LLC?
A privately owned behavioral healthcare agency located in Gallipolis, Ohio that provides inpatient and outpatient clinical services for adults with substance use disorders (SUD) within the community we serve.
We are seeking to find two Inpatient/Outpatient counselors. The ideal candidate for this position holds an active LCDCII or LCDCIII credential in Ohio (minimum credential), has a minimum of 2 years experience working with the addicted population, and is available to work a full-time or part-time schedule and the possiblity of an evening or two. The ideal candidate also possesses the skills to assist in identifying, and addressing client needs and concerns who are dependent upon alcohol and/or other drugs. The Counselor will provide group and individual therapies, treatment plans and updates, and discharge planning, all under the direction of the clinical supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide for screening assessment, treatment plan, treatment plan updates, discharge planning of agency SUD clients.
Provide group, individual and family therapies.
Entering clinical data into the Electronic Health Record in an accurate and timely manner, using professional standards.
Participate in agency staff and treatment team meetings.
Ensure client safety through maintaining confidentiality, verbal de-escalation techniques, knowledge of and adherence to policies and procedures regarding emergencies, performing security and safety checks and reporting all client issues to the Clinical Director.
Abide by all agency established policies and procedures and Code of Ethics.
Perform other assigned duties as necessary to accomplish agency mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
Requirements:
Active minimum LCDCII or LCDCIII certification in good standing with the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board w/ a minimum of 2 years working in the SUD field.
Must be able to form good working and therapeutic relationships.
Must be organized, detail oriented, and have the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Must possess group/teamwork skills, being punctual with work assignments.
Good working knowledge of computers.
Be willing to complete BCI/FBI background check and pre-employment drug screen.
