Responsibilities
- Implement methods to inspect, test, and evaluate the reliability of manufacturing processes, products, and production equipment.
- Make recommendations for changes to processes or materials and supplies that will positively impact the cost, output, and quality of products.
- Prepare reports and makes recommendations as needed.
- Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data to support recommendations and managing through completion process improvements and material changeovers, will participate in process flow, root cause analysis, CAPA, maintenance of supplier and internal audit reports, source material changes, and document findings and recommendations in collaboration with department heads and key stakeholders.
- Proven experience in an engineering and/or quality role in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing and quality practices (ISO9000, etc.)
- Understanding of in-process calibration, measurement, reporting, and analysis to support production and engineering needs.
- Good computer skills and a working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and other software.
