IT Level 1 Technician
Pay Rate: $18.57 per hour (based on experience)

Location: Warsaw, IN

Job Summary:

Cardinal Services is seeking a motivated IT Level 1 Technician to join our team. This role requires a strong customer service focus, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to internal processes. The ideal candidate will be proficient in user account administration, network fundamentals, and general IT support tasks, and will work closely with our IT Director on day-to-day operations and technical initiatives. This position also involves participation in on-call rotation and may require occasional technical troubleshooting outside normal business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to end-users and ensure timely resolution of IT work orders.
  • Foster relationships and maintain satisfaction with colleagues, departments, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in user account management, including administration through Office 365 and Windows Server.
  • Manage patching and backup processes according to established procedures.
  • Assist with network-related tasks such as DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, and routing.
  • Serve as a technical resource for staff and participate in technical meetings.
  • Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner to minimize disruptions to business operations.
  • Participate in yearly training requirements and professional development.
  • Collaborate with the IT Director on technical initiatives, projects, and network-related problems.
  • Work towards meeting IT department goals and performance metrics (Balanced Scorecard).
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Requirements:

    • At least 18 years of age.
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Preferred: Associates degree or 2 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
    • Preferred: 1 year of experience in a technical helpdesk environment.
    • Preferred: 1 year of experience supporting Windows workstations and services in a domain environment.
    • Ability to obtain CompTIA certifications (A , Network , etc.) within the first year of employment.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Familiarity with Windows 10, Microsoft Server 2012, Office 365, and Microsoft 365.
    • Understanding of basic networking principles, including DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, and routing.
    • Knowledge of patch management and backup management fundamentals.
  • Additional Skills:

    • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
    • Critical thinking abilities and the ability to drive results.
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
    • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
    • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
