Cardinal Spellman High School is a premier, independent, co-educational college preparatory, Catholic high school located in the New York metropolitan area with an enrollment of approximately 1200 students. Sponsoring 20 varsity sports as well as junior varsity and clubs, our athletic programs compete in the Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA).
Role and Responsibilities
Part-time, on-site role for a Certified Strength and Performance Coach at Cardinal Spellman High School, Bronx, New York.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design and implement training programs with a holistic approach aimed to improve overall outcomes and athletic performance.
- Incorporate the latest advancements in sports science into training regimens.
- Monitor and assess athletic performance and progress.
- Provide mental conditioning and emotional support to the athletes.
- Ensure that proper nutrition, rest and recovery practices are followed.
- Educate athletes on injury prevention and recovery techniques.
- Maintain detailed records of training sessions and performance metrics.
- Presence at interscholastic games.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree expected in the area of Exercise/Sports Science, Kinesiology or related field
- Required valid industry leading certification (e.g., NSCS , CSCS)
- Fitness assessment and monitoring skills
- Athletic performance and training skills
- Experience working with high school or college athletes
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate athletes
- Demonstrated success in improving outcomes with athletes and/teams
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED certified
Salary : $30,000 - $45,000
