Cardinal Staffing is immediately hiring a Tool Designer for a large, well-known manufacturing client in Roseville, MI.
The Tool Designer is responsible for creating and developing precise tooling designs for manufacturing processes. This role involves collaborating with engineers and production teams to ensure that tools meet customer specifications, improve efficiency, and adhere to quality standards.
1st shift Available start time 7am. Occasional overtime is available.
Pay up to $20 / hr depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities :
- Tool Design Development : Create detailed designs for jigs, fixtures, molds, and dies using CAD software, ensuring alignment with production and customer requirements.
- Collaboration : Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to gather requirements and provide design solutions.
- Material Selection : Recommend materials and methods for tooling construction to ensure durability and cost-effectiveness.
- Problem Solving : Address design challenges and provide innovative solutions to improve tooling performance and efficiency.
- Documentation : Generate detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and specifications for tooling designs.
- Testing and Validation : Oversee the testing of tools to ensure functionality, precision, and compliance with quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement : Propose and implement improvements to existing tooling designs and processes to enhance manufacturing performance.
Qualifications :
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD).
