Job Description:
As an Court Liaison , you will play a pivotal role in our mission to provide effective treatment and support to individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorders. Your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Screening: Conduct initial screenings to determine the appropriateness of potential clients for our treatment programs. Gather and analyze information related to substance use, medical history, mental health, and social factors.
2. Client Engagement: Create a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals seeking treatment. Act as the initial point of contact and provide them with information about our programs, services, and the admissions process.
3. Admissions Process: Guide clients and their families through the admissions process, explaining all necessary documentation and procedures. Ensure that all required forms and consents are completed accurately.
4. Communication: Collaborate with our clinical and administrative teams to coordinate the intake process seamlessly. Maintain open lines of communication with clients, families, and referral sources to address inquiries and provide updates.
5. Compliance: Ensure that all admissions procedures adhere to regulatory standards and agency policies. Keep abreast of changes in regulations and licensing requirements related to substance use disorder treatment.
6. Data Management: Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation related to admissions, assessments, and program enrollment.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
1. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Secondary education in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
2. Experience: Previous experience in substance use disorder treatment, admissions, or a related field is highly desirable. Active CDCA a major plus.
3. Compassion: Demonstrated ability to show empathy and provide support to individuals and families in challenging circumstances.
4. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information.
5. Organization: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage client records and admissions documentation accurately.
6. Knowledge: Understanding of substance use disorders, mental health issues, and the recovery process.
7. Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals and support staff.
8. Ethical Standards: Adherence to high ethical and confidentiality standards in handling sensitive client information.
9. Cultural Sensitivity: Awareness and respect for cultural diversity and the unique needs of our clients.
