Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Grant Writer to join our team. Our Grant Writer will play a pivotal role in the organization by identifying funding opportunities, developing compelling grant proposals, and securing grants from diverse sources. As a key member of our team, the Grant Writer will collaborate with executive leadership, and other stakeholders to craft persuasive narratives that effectively communicate the organization's mission and vision to potential funders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Research: Conduct in-depth research to identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, private foundations, corporations and other sources. Stay abreast of funding trends and grant-related developments in the nonprofit sector.
- Proposal Development: Write clear, concise, and persuasive grant proposals that align with the organizations strategic priorities and address the specific requirements of each funding opportunity. Tailor proposals to meet the expectations of different funders.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with program managers, finance personnel, and other team members to gather relevant data, impact metrics, and other information necessary for grant proposals. Ensure proposals are supported by accurate and compelling data.
- Grant Management: Monitor grant deadlines and requirements, ensuring timely submission of proposals and necessary reporting documents. Maintain comprehensive records of submitted proposals, outcomes, and reporting deadlines.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with funders and grant-making institutions through effective communication and stewardship. Attend meetings, events, and networking opportunities to present the organization and establish potential funding partnerships.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with grant funding regulations and reporting requirements. Work with relevant teams to provide timely and accurate reports to grantors, showcasing the organization’s progress and impact.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have These Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in relevant field (e.g. Communications, Nonprofit and For-profit Management, or related area)
- Proven experience in grant writing, with a successful track record of securing grants.
- Strong research skills to identify potential funding sources and grant opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and proposals.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and report preparation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders to gather information and develop grant proposals.
- Strong Project management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with grant management and reporting processes and a commitment to compliance with grant regulations.
- Proficiency in using relevant software applications for research, data analysis, and proposal writing.
