What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Intern position at Cardinal?
Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Assists in all talent acquisition efforts; prepare job postings, conducting phone screens and interviews, coordinating offers, and assisting with new hire orientation
- Providing general administrative support to the HR department, such as filing, data entry, or organizing documents
- Assist with employee recognition programs
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Human Resources department and other management staff
- Perform people related administration related to time and attendance system and absence reporting system
- Greets and directs visitors, resolves routine administrative problems, and answers inquiries concerning activities and operations
- Support with all company events, including plant lunches, recruiting events, community engagement, and other company meetings
- Other activities, duties and responsibilities as assigned
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Accept more challenging assignments as experience and knowledge allows
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Must be entering Junior or Senior year of college and pursuing a degree in Human Resources management or related field
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal communication, preferred public speaking experience
- Excellent written communication including grammatical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Must be able appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information and exercise discretion
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Exercise good judgment in decision making, ideas, and all aspects relating to the SBLG team, Cardinal Glass Industries, and other company relationships
