What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Cardinal?
A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping all plant equipment operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. A Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around the facility. Some of the other duties and responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician include:
- Essential job duties include day to day equipment maintenance including troubleshooting of mechanical & electrical systems and timely repair of those systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and solve problems associated with equipment downtime.
- Candidates will work with minimal supervision, need to be self-motivated, dependable, punctual, organized, and be in attendance for work duties. Employees must have good communication skills and be able to work well with others.
- Demonstrate strong ethical and judgment skills
- Demonstrate ability to read electrical schematics, ability to use a digital multimeter.
- Regular Inspection of all electrical, mechanical & other equipment in the facility
- Coordinating with production and other departments for feedback on the functionality of the equipment.
- Reporting all defects and damages to the maintenance team lead
- Comply with all safety standards for industry and the facility
- Maintaining all records of the repair and maintenance works conducted using WO system (PMware).
- Welding & Machining Skills a plus
