What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Cardinal?
Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of automated systems, including heat treating equipment, automatic glass cutting equipment, overhead cranes, glass assembly equipment and conveyor systems in a team environment.
Maintenance Tech Requirements:
- 1-2 years' experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of automation control systems including PLC’s and computer control interface systems.
- Proficient in at least (2) two maintenance skill classifications.
- Proficient in MS Windows and DOS.
- Must have good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must be able to interpret and utilize complex technical manuals, electrical and electronic schematics, tables and charts.
- Applicant must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position including but not limited to the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb, and stand or be mobile for periods in excess of 12 hours.
- Must be available to work weekends when needed.
- Ability to work with and as part of a team including but not limited to the Plant Manager, managers, employees throughout Cardinal, and vendor partnerships.

Maintenance Tech Shifts:
- B Shift: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - 6pm to 6am
- C Shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday - 6am to 6pm
- D Shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday - 6pm to 6am
