What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Technician position at Cardinal?
- Ability to load/unload numerous trucks using a forklift, Rico, crane & yard dog truck.
- Read and understand Rack ID tags/customer orders/warehouse locations.
- Follow instructions/loading procedures for loading/unloading trucks given by Lead person or partner.
- Keep south lot cleaned and organized, maintain rack to support production.
- Recognize different mil thickness/coatings used in the plant and handle glass by hand with appropriate PPE.
- Inspect product for proper packaging and tagging while ensuring packing list is followed during loading and unloading.
- Communicate with other departments/co-workers.
- Maintain PPE and equipment in serviceable condition.
- Complete other assignments given by Department Manger or Shift Lead Person.
- Ability to work past scheduled shift hours and overtime as needed to complete duties.
- Ability to use power saw, read a tape measure, cut and build wooden boxes.
- Will conduct himself/herself in a manner consistent with supporting and promoting the Values of our team. Those being to demonstrate good Team Work, Integrity, a Positive Attitude, and Safety … TIPS.
