Press Operator

Roles & Responsibilities include the following:

• Must be able to complete and maintain:
• • Forming Press Operator Qualifications
  • • Operate Forming Press and meet productivity and quality standards.
    • Be able to troubleshoot and resolve minor press alarms.
  • Crane Operator certification
  • Forklift Operator certification
• Perform PM’s and Process Checks on stamped parts using fixed and variable gaging.
• Perform 5S in assigned work areas.
• Operate overhead crane.
• • Receive and unload coils and complete receiving documentation.
• Identify and report part quality concerns to die maintenance and management.
• Perform Die and Feed bar change overs:
• • Install cushion pins in bolster as required.
  • Transfer dies onto and off bolsters using overhead crane.
  • Setup and adjust feed bar fingers for proper operation.

Qualified candidates for this Associate level position should be customer focused, have good organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, have good communication (written and verbal) interpersonal skills, and be able to solve any problems that arise in a timely and consistent manner. In addition, candidates must be able to multi-task, work independently, and take initiative.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum 5 years of related experience
• Stable work history with a pattern of good attendance
• No disciplinary actions within the past year.
• Prior Press and Crane experience is preferred.

Experience

• 1 year(s): Metal Press

• Die changes
• Stamping
• Forklift experience preferred
• Overhead Crane experience preferred

Education

• High School or better
