You will collaborate with a team of specialists and work in a patient-focused environment, ensuring high-quality care, prevention, and management of cardiovascular diseases.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with general cardiology conditions, including hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and valvular heart diseases.
- Perform patient consultations and interpret diagnostic tests, including ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and other cardiovascular procedures.
- Develop personalized treatment plans for patients, which may include medications, lifestyle changes, and referral for interventional procedures when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with medical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other cardiology specialists and healthcare providers to ensure holistic patient care and seamless treatment across various healthcare settings.
- Stay current with medical advancements in cardiology, attending conferences, participating in continuing education, and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
- Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding their cardiovascular health, preventive care, and lifestyle changes to improve overall health outcomes.
- Participate in on-call services as required, providing timely and efficient care to urgent cases.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and clinical practices.
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
- Valid Pennsylvania medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Strong clinical knowledge and proficiency in general cardiology procedures and patient care.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
