Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team at Cardiology Associates of Michigan, P.C. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the billing process for our cardiology services, ensuring accurate coding and timely collections to support our mission of delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical billing claims accurately and efficiently.
- Utilize ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems to ensure correct coding of diagnoses and procedures.
- Manage medical records to maintain compliance with regulations and standards.
- Handle medical collections and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies or issues.
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in a cardiology setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare reimbursement processes.
- Familiarity with DRG systems is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
