What are the responsibilities and job description for the Practice/Billing Manager for Cardiology Practice position at Cardiology clinic?
Cardiology group practice in north suburban Houston is seeking an expert practice/Billing Manager for their growing practice.
The *Practice adminstrator* will be responsible for:
- Supervision (*Knowledge/expert) all billing processes. Oversee billing, coding, revenue cycle and charge recovery. Identify payer trends and implement appropriate workflow improvements.
- Utilize reporting tools to export data and analyze practice performance in concise and convenient formats.
- Manage dynamic schedule coordination.
- Direct the daily operations of fast-paced and demanding cardiovascular practice, including four providers.
- Utilize EMR (ECW) and Microsoft Office to create efficient workflows for front and back office for overall practice performance improvement.
- Manage all aspects of the human resources department including assurance of staff competencies, consistent coaching and development of staff, interviewing new hire candidates, maintaining time cards and PTO, and performing regular employee evaluations.
- Maintain payables, negotiate medical supplies, and manage inventory.
- Cultivate positive vendor representative relationships.
- Perform credentialing activities for commercial payers, government payers, and for hospital privileges.
- Perform marketing activities including development and creation of marketing materials and maintaining positive relations with referring providers.
- Ensure compliance for CMS, HIPAA, and accreditation agencies.
- Facilitate business development decision-making through accurate cost assignment and forecasting methods.
*Requirements:*
- Bachelors Degree in business or health administration or related field, This may be compensated with at least 10 years of managerial experience in billing/office management. CPC certification preferred
- Experience with EMR – E-Clinicals required
