Position Overview :
The Healthcare Practice Administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of our anesthesia practice. This role involves collaborating with our physician leadership team to drive practice profitability, manage revenue goals, and ensure high standards of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and staff engagement. The Administrator will be accountable for operational efficiency and the implementation of best practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with physician partners and hospital leadership to ensure smooth operations and alignment with organizational goals.
- Operational Oversight : Direct day-to-day administrative functions including payroll, staffing, scheduling, credentialing, and annual reporting, in partnership with the Office Manager.
- Leadership & Team Building : Manage and mentor staff, fostering a positive work environment, and providing guidance on recruitment, hiring, and team development.
- Recruitment and Onboarding of Physicians : Support the recruitment process for anesthesia physicians and CRNAs, including interviewing, and onboarding qualified candidates. Work closely with leadership team to ensure alignment with the practice’s needs and ensure a smooth integration of new physicians.
- Contract Negotiations and Management : Oversee and manage contract negotiations with hospitals, payers and providers. Ensure that agreements are aligned with the practice’s goals, regulatory requirements, and financial objectives, while maintaining positive and sustainable relationships with partners and providers.
- Policy & Compliance : Ensure practice adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and accreditation body standards.
- Problem-Solving & Conflict Resolution : Address issues raised by staff, collaborating with leadership to resolve operational challenges and improve processes.
- Financial Oversight : Assist with budgeting, revenue enhancement initiatives, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for clinical and business operations.
- Travel Requirements : Occasional travel to partner hospitals within a 100-mile radius, with rare out-of-state travel to billing company offices in Wisconsin and Florida.
