We are seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to collaborate closely with our Electrophysiologists, General Cardiologists, and Interventional Cardiologists. This full-time role spans both our St. Augustine and/or Palm Coast office and occasional hospital-based work, offering a competitive salary, health insurance, paid time off, and a CME allowance.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Clinic Duties (Monday-Friday): Provide direct patient management in-office, ordering appropriate tests, managing prescriptions, and consulting with specialists when needed, all in close collaboration with supervising cardiologists. APP will have the following Monday off after an on-call weekend
- Weekend Call: Work with another APP to assist with hospital consults and patient rounding on Saturday and Sunday alongside the assigned Cardiologist. Responsibilities include documentation of consultations/admissions, appropriate test ordering and follow-up, medication management, and possible stress test supervision
- Weekday Call: Provide remote “first call” coverage for hospital and practice patients from 6 pm to 8 am, managing patient needs and handling morning call handoff as necessary. Calls are handled from home without the need to go into the facility
- Foster clear, ongoing communication with hospital-based physicians, nursing staff, and patients’ families to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
- Complete and manage all necessary documentation and records to support patient care
- Stay current with required CME, licensure, and certification while expanding knowledge within Cardiology and Electrophysiology subspecialties
- Cardiology experience preferred. New graduates welcome to apply
- Active Florida APRN or PA-C licensure, with a clean malpractice and disciplinary history
- Strong knowledge of medical documentation standards, decision-making protocols, billing methods, HIPAA, and patient safety standards
