What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Office Receptionist position at Cardiovascular Interventional Associates?
Front desk employee needs to be able to:
Schedule patients: Answer phones and schedule patients for appts or testing.
Check in and Check out: Check out and schedule next appt with appropriate provider and schedule Echo if ordered to be done in the office.
Verify insurances and collect payment at arrival.
New Patient referrals: add patients to our system, send records request if seen by previous cardiologist and schedule appt.
Prior Authorizations for testing: Obtain authorizations for testing to be done such as Echo and Procedures ie: LHC, TEE, Cardioversions
Schedule Procedures: Contact Hospital or Cath Lab and schedule, obtain written patient consent before leaving office.
Patient phone call questions: create patient case and send to the appropriate MA or NP.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
