Cardiovascular Sonographer

Cardiovascular Solutions is seeking diagnostic medical sonographer. Should be trained in a combinations of either vascular/general sonography or cardiac and vascular sonography.

Preference is given to individuals that are trained in all three modalities (cardiac/vascular/general).

Proposed schedule: Please note that there will be some travel required.

The Ultrasound Technologist performs all tasks necessary to provide onsite quality patient care, including knowledge of Basic Life Support, knowledge of patient scheduling software, onsite patient intake, HIPAA-compliance, and proper equipment maintenance knowledge.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provides high-quality, compassionate care.
• Produces quality diagnostic ultrasounds by using proper equipment technique.
• Completes preliminary reports on time
• Provides onsite patient intake, accommodates patient privacy, positions patients for exams.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of all equipment and practice property.
• Follows the "Cardiovascular Solutions Scope of Practice and Clinical Standards" guidelines, per practice policy.
• Incorporates patient, physician, customer needs and concerns into decision-making and organizational action.
• Punctuality, adequate transportation, and responsibility are required.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree or Graduate of an accredited Technical School
• Required: Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
• Required: Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• BLS obtained through the American Heart Association

Position Details:

• Location – The greater San Antonio area
• Shift – Hours limited to 8a-5p, M-F; Part-time, flexible based on clinic contracts.
• Dependable transportation and commitment to timeliness required.
• This is a mobile diagnostics technician role. Candidate must be willing to commute. Commuting may sometimes include multiple locations in one day.
