Specialist I, Rec Lending Collections - South Jordan, UT

Position Summary: A Collector is responsible for the daily collection of past due Recreation Lending loans. The Collector insures delinquency is maintained at an acceptable low level as well as complies with all policies and procedures as defined by management.   Essential Functions: Maintainsdelinquency in individually assigned loans at target rates Keeps manager informed of current status and trends related to individually assigned loans Completes skip trace work on accounts as required. Complies with all federal and state collection laws Completes daily work flow Understands and complies with all laws and regulations to which the Bank is subject Communicates problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, noncompliance with laws and regulations, policy violations, or illegal acts. Performs other duties as assigned   Education and Experience: High school diploma or its equivalent education required One (1) years’ experience in collections/customer service or call center is required Experience in a similar portfolio with an emphasis on sub-prime lending is preferred Experience performing work involving knowledge of general accounting fundamentals, business practices, or banking principles is also required   Summary of Qualifications:   Knowledgeable and complies with all state and federal collection laws and procedures. Effectively and efficiently communicate both through verbal and written channels in a way that others are able to understand the information in a manner consistent with the essential job functions Skilled in negotiating, including the ability to persuade and modify opinions to reach goals   Professional demeanor Highly organized Ability to work under pressure; flexibility and willingness to work at a rapid pace Understanding of collection nuances in a sub-prime field Knowledge of federal and state collection laws Working knowledge of a computer software related to specific job requirements.
