Companion/Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Companion to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering assistance with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering a positive environment. Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to healthcare professionals.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation.
• Develop and follow care plans tailored to each client's individual needs.
• Provide patient observation to ensure safety and comfort during care.
• Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used for client safety.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all interactions.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, family members, and social workers as required to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of basic caregiving skills including meal preparation, vital signs monitoring, and patient observation.
• Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
• CPR certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of the clients.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
• A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

Pay: $16.88 - $17.26 per hour
