Preschool instructor requirements

• must be of good moral character
• provide 5 years of verifiable employment history
• must be screened using the level 2 screening standards in s. 435.04, F.S., before employment
• must be rescreened at least once every five years, including fingerprinting
• must be denied employment or terminated if required under s. 435.06, F.S., and
• must not be ineligible to teach in a public school because his or her educator certificate is suspended or revoked.
• Direct childcare and classroom management experience. Completed 45 hr DCF Training/OEL - CDA/FCCPC or Formal Education exemption.

Position requires the ability to control a classroom using positive discipline techniques and redirection. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with parents at all times and the ability to help create a safe, caring and open learning environment. We are a large established preschool and childcare center on County Line Road behind Applebee's restaurant, capacity 300 . We have 12 classrooms, an indoor rain/recreation room, and 4 large playgrounds. We value positive teacher/child interactions and consistency. We believe that having scheduled and planned days makes our job a breeze! The right applicant is able to show initiative, actively engage with the children in care, understand that children need to play and have fun to learn, and present themselves as an early childhood education professional everyday. Resumes showing direct classroom experience and 3-5 Yrs Teaching Experience along with Completed 45 Hr DCF child care training transcript showing CDA/formal education exemption or ability to get exemption. 5 years of complete verifiable employment history must be supplied per dcf licensing requirements prior to employment.
