What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1:1 Aide for Preschooler position at Care-A-Lot Childcare?
Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Provide support and assistance to students with daily tasks, including personal care, hygiene, and social interactions.
- Assist in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for students.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Help facilitate classroom management and behavior management techniques to promote a positive learning environment.
- Provide one-on-one instruction and help to a particular assigned student.
- Collaborate with other staff members, therapists, and parents to ensure the overall well-being and progress of students.
Skills:
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities- Preffered.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Ability to provide care and support for preschoolers with special needs, including diaper changing, feeding, and supervision.
