Child Care Assistant Director

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Early Childhood Education and a genuine love for working with young children. Responsibilities:

-Assist the Director in all aspects of implementing the above philosophy for all children and maintain adherence of policies and regulations throughout the staff.

-The Assistant Director will learn and be able to run the day-to-day operations of the childcare center including assisting with scheduling

- Fill in knowledgeably and assume responsibility of the Childcare Center in the Director's Absence.

-Assist with office work including but not limited to: Answering phones, organizing and maintaining child files, tracking staff trainings, and entering month end data collection for child attendance, CCTA, CACFP etc.

-Fill in in any and all classrooms when a Teacher is scheduled off for the day or calls in sick. This may include long-term substituting in a classroom or covering lunch breaks in multiple rooms a day.

Qualifications:

-Associates in Early Childhood Education OR CDA preferred

-Previous experience working in a childcare or professional setting

-Strong Knowledge of child development

-Excellent communication skills

-Ability, compassion, and patience to work with young children

-Open availability and flexibility to cover all shifts as needed to assist the Director in maintaining proper ratios and safe supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.75 - $17.75 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 42 per week
