Position Overview:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, people-loving (and pet-loving) Manager to oversee our Newport News Doggie Daycare facility. You’ll supervise a team of rockstars, ensure every furry friend gets top-notch care, and help grow our services to meet the needs of our wonderful clients!
What You’ll Do (AKA Your Paw-some Responsibilities):
- Be the heartbeat of the team, supporting our mission to deliver exceptional service with a smile (and maybe a belly rub!).
- Create and fine-tune operating procedures that keep our services running smoothly.
- Manage our facility and crew to make sure both animals and clients get the royal treatment they deserve.
- Keep an eye on the budget, recommending pricing changes when necessary to keep things fair for everyone.
- Oversee staff performance, from hiring and training to performance reviews.
- Lead the charge on staff training, ensuring everyone knows how to deliver top-tier service from day one.
- Help grow our services, track occupancy, and implement fun marketing strategies to get tails wagging.
- Handle client service issues with grace and a smile.
- Set goals, track progress, and get your team on the path to success.
- Juggle tasks, prioritize like a champ, and delegate like a leader.
- Ensure we’re stocked up on supplies and equipment.
- Be there when the weekend or holiday calls for some pet TLC or facility support.
- Take on special management projects as needed – no two days are the same!
What We’re Looking For in Our New Team Leader:
- A communicator extraordinaire – both with people and pets!
- 1-2 years of leadership experience (bonus points if you’ve managed teams in the pet care world).
- Strong decision-making skills and problem-solving abilities.
- A self-starter with an eye for detail who doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves.
- Proven leadership and training skills that bring out the best in your team.
- Someone who thrives in a team environment but can also work independently.
- Flexible, adaptable, and ready to jump in when things get hectic!
