Job Summary
The Senior Accountant is under the direct supervision and direction of the Assistant Controller. Working in a team environment, the Senior Accountant handles a variety of tasks in producing and analyzing the monthly financial statements. This position adheres to all Federal, State, Local and Company policies and regulations. Essential Job Responsibilities
- Preparing monthly financial statements
- Preparing and processing journal entries
- Reconciling general ledger accounts
- Reviewing branch performance
- Adhering to a strict closing schedule
- Assisting in the annual audit process
- Assisting with the payroll process
- Providing analysis and research as needed to ensure accurate financial information
- Assisting in special projects and activities, as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 3 years of experience in accounting, specifically working in general ledger
- NetSuite or equivalent accounting software experience
- GL conversion experience a plus
- Experience with Skilled Home Health Care services a plus
- Audit experience a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Comfortable working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of an organization
