Job Overview
The Residential Support Staff plays a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for youth residing in our facility. This position is responsible for providing day-to-day care, supervision, and support to youth, while fostering personal growth, independence, and positive life skills.
Key Responsibilities
Youth Supervision:
· Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times.
· Monitor and maintain appropriate behavior while promoting a respectful and positive environment.
· Supervise daily activities, including meals, recreational activities, and educational programs.
Support and Guidance:
· Build trusting relationships with residents through active listening, empathy, and encouragement.
· Provide emotional support and conflict resolution while maintaining professional boundaries.
· Assist in the development of life skills, such as hygiene, communication, and decision-making.
Program Implementation:
· Assist in implementing individualized care plans and behavior management strategies.
· Facilitate group activities, workshops, and structured programming.
· Document observations and provide feedback on residents’ progress.
Household Responsibilities:
· Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe living environment.
· Prepare and serve meals/snacks as needed.
· Administer medications (if trained and authorized) and adhere to health and safety protocols.
· Maintain accurate records, including incident reports and daily logs.
· Comply with all state and agency policies, procedures, and licensing requirements.
· Participate in regular staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field is a plus. Must be 18yrs old or older!
- Experience working with youth in a residential, educational, or similar setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm and handle stressful situations with professionalism.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
Work Environment
The Residential Support Staff will work in a residential home environment, interacting with youth from diverse backgrounds. This role requires patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the development of each resident.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
