Job Title: Behavior Technician
Duties:
- Implement individualized treatment plans for clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to clients in various settings, such as home, school, or community
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
- Assist with behavior assessments and functional behavior assessments
- Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to develop and modify treatment plans as needed
- Teach clients skills in areas such as communication, socialization, self-help, and academic skills
- Implement behavior intervention strategies to address challenging behaviors
- Provide support and training to parents and caregivers on implementing behavior strategies at home
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages and backgrounds
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to treatment plans
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with individuals with behavioral challenges
- Ability to collect accurate data and maintain detailed records
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly on your feet
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Note: Previous experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
