Job Title: Certified Phlebotomist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Phlebotomist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients, labeling vials, and transporting specimens for testing. The Certified Phlebotomist will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, as well as adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Perform venipuncture on patients to collect blood samples.

2. Label vials accurately and ensure proper documentation of specimens.

3. Transport specimens to the laboratory for testing.

4. Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.

5. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.

6. Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

7. Assist with clerical tasks as needed, such as filing and data entry.

8. Provide excellent customer service to patients during the blood collection process.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program.

3. Current certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT).

4. Prior experience as a phlebotomist in a medical setting preferred.

5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

7. Attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling.

8. Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.

9. Basic computer skills.

10. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
