Job Summary:
As a Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS), you will be responsible for performing complex laboratory tests on patient samples to provide accurate diagnosis and treatment recommendations to healthcare providers. You will work in a clinical laboratory setting, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology to analyze specimens.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform a variety of laboratory tests on patient samples, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
2. Analyze test results and report findings to healthcare providers in a timely manner.
3. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate test results.
4. Follow standardized procedures for specimen collection, handling, and storage.
5. Adhere to safety protocols and quality control standards in the laboratory.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.
7. Stay current with advances in laboratory technology and procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
2. Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) by a recognized accrediting agency.
3. Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
4. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
