Job Summary:
As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will be responsible for providing immediate care to patients in critical condition. You will assess patients, treat injuries and illnesses, and stabilize patients for further treatment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing the condition of patients as they arrive in the emergency room
2. Treating injuries and illnesses promptly and effectively
3. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
4. Monitoring vital signs and responding to changes in patient condition
5. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
6. Educating patients and their families on post-treatment care
7. Maintaining accurate medical records and documenting patient care
8. Adhering to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Registered Nurse (RN) license
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency room nursing
4. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
5. Ability to work under pressure and in high-stress situations
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Detail-oriented and organized
8. Ability to work well in a team environment
