Job Title: House Supervisor (Med Surg Adult)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced House Supervisor to oversee the operations of our Med Surg Adult unit. The House Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating patient care, managing staff schedules, and ensuring the highest level of patient safety and quality of care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Supervise nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
- Manage patient flow and bed assignments to optimize throughput and patient care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and implement patient care plans
- Conduct rounds on the unit to assess patient needs and provide support to staff
- Respond to emergencies and facilitate communication between departments
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports on patient care activities
- Assist with staff education and training as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BSN or higher preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a Med Surg Adult setting
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- BLS and ACLS certification required
