Job Summary:
Our healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated and experienced Infection Control Director - Infection Control Nurse to oversee all aspects of infection control within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing infection prevention and control programs to ensure the safety and well-being of both patients and staff.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate infection control policies and procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to monitor and prevent the spread of infections
- Conduct infection control audits and risk assessments
- Provide education and training to staff on infection control practices
- Investigate and report healthcare-associated infections
- Stay up-to-date on best practices and guidelines in infection control
- Coordinate with public health agencies on infection control initiatives
Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in infection control
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Attention to detail and critical thinking abilities
- Knowledge of CDC guidelines and regulations
