Job Title: Interim Nurse Manager (Nursing Manager/Director)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Interim Nurse Manager to oversee the daily operations and staff management within our nursing department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, managing budgets, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to improve overall efficiency and patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure proper patient care
2. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance
3. Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to improve patient care processes
4. Manage nursing department budgets and resources effectively
5. Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed
6. Participate in recruitment and training of nursing staff
7. Oversee quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to best practices
8. Handle patient and family concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner
9. Stay current on industry trends and developments to ensure best practices are implemented
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, required; Master's degree preferred
2. Current RN license
3. Previous experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
6. Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards
7. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
