Job Title: Medical Assistant - Primary Care
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our primary care team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers with patient care, administrative tasks, and medical procedures to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Obtain and record patient medical history and vital signs
- Assist healthcare providers with examinations, treatments, and minor surgical procedures
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical equipment
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medical assistant training program
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in basic medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
