Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician / Laboratory Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician/Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating patients. This individual must have a strong understanding of medical terminology, laboratory equipment, and quality control processes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Collect and analyze samples such as blood, urine, and tissue
• Perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper operation
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
• Communicate test results to physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Assist with data entry and record-keeping
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities
• Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate results

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in using laboratory equipment and software
• Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures
• Understanding of quality control and safety protocols
