Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine laboratory tests, analyzing samples, and reporting results to physicians. This role plays a crucial part in helping doctors diagnose and treat patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collecting and processing specimens
- Performing various laboratory tests, including blood tests, urinalysis, and microbiological tests
- Analyzing test results and reporting findings to healthcare providers
- Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring proper calibration and quality control
- Adhering to laboratory safety procedures and regulations
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures
