Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician specializing in microbiology to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform various laboratory tests to diagnose and treat infectious diseases, as well as analyze and interpret data for medical professionals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collect and prepare specimens for analysis
- Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures
- Identify and culture microorganisms
- Analyze test results and report findings
- Maintain accurate records of tests and procedures
- Assist in quality control and assurance activities
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to determine appropriate treatment plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) preferred
- Strong working knowledge of microbiology principles and practices
- Experience working in a medical laboratory setting
