Job Title: MS/Tele FLOAT Nurse
Job Summary: The MS/Tele FLOAT Nurse will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing care for patients with various medical and telecommunication needs. This role involves floating between multiple units within the hospital, offering comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical and telemetry departments.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Provide direct patient care, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patients' conditions.
2. Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, taking appropriate action based on the data.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans for patients.
5. Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatments, and self-care practices.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
7. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
8. Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
3. BLS and ACLS certification.
4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Flexibility and adaptability to work in various units within the hospital.
8. Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
