Job Title: Polysomnographer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Polysomnographer to join our team. As a Polysomnographer, you will be responsible for conducting sleep studies on patients to diagnose sleep disorders and provide treatment recommendations. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure accurate and thorough monitoring of patients during sleep studies.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Set up and calibrate polysomnography equipment for sleep studies
- Monitor and observe patients during sleep studies to detect any abnormalities
- Record and analyze data from sleep studies to diagnose sleep disorders
- Collaborate with physicians to develop treatment plans for patients with sleep disorders
- Educate patients on proper sleep hygiene and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of sleep studies and patient information
- Stay current on advancements in sleep medicine and technology
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
- Experience working in a sleep disorder center or similar healthcare setting
- Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of sleep disorders and treatment options
